Hi everybody!

How is everyone? Haven't heard from you for a while ... It's time for a new Photostory about me! Everyone ready? Excited? :)

This is the family sitting in my grandparents' garden. That's where we spent our weekends - we meet here in the east of Austria, close to Vienna, in the countryside, for lunch. When it's nice outside, we do the Barbecue. We did this a LOT this summer, as it's very hot and nice this year.

This is a picture from a part of our huge garden. My Grandparents have a lot of work with it, but they just looove nature. Last weekend we had a terrible storm going on - everything was wasted afterwards.

Hi! This is me with Grandma enjoying the wheather. I'm ten months old now.

The dogs, Bailey and Chelsea, love the summer too. Chelsea is Baileys puppy, but they are about the same size already. They are very protective with me, but Mum always keeps an eye on us.

I discovered my feet and toes lately. They are funny. I sometimes try to eat them, and they taste Yummi!

My Uncle Thomas is always making fun with me - I love when he throws me in the air and around and around ...

I LOVE Spaghetti. See? My mouth is full of it - but not full of teeth - I still dont have a single tooth.

My Greatgranny Valery turns 80 next year.

On this pic I look All German. But I'm not! I'm Austrian, right? Daddy broght me this dress by the way. Looks cute on me, doesn't it?

I just about to crawl. I do my best, but I just can't move forward!

We celebrated Mum's 28 Birthday on 4th of June in a very famous funpark in Vienna, the Prater. It's very close to our home. Was very funny there. Mum and Uncle Thomas took some funny giant bell, which was turning fast. Mum almost threw up. Thomas loved it.

I slept in the meanwhile - but the others had a lot of fun.

Tired again - good night everybody! Please send us an email with news! Daddy told us, Grandma gets an surgery? Is that true? Everything alright now with you? I hope so!

So ruhig gings die ganze Party nicht zu: Die Babys waren ganz in ihrem Element.

It's never been that silent again: The Babies felt like ducks in the water.

Mit verklärtem Blick mantschte Pipa im grünen Topf. Farbe durch die Finger drücken war für sie offenbar das Grösste. Obwohl sie auch echte Kunstwerke aufs Papier zauberte.

Like in trance Filipa put her hand in the green pot. She must have loved to feel the paint sliding through her fingers. But she also made beautiful paintings.

Leon hielt sich etwas im Hintergrund und erkor Rot zu seiner Lieblingsfarbe.

Leon stayed in the background and chose Red as his favorite color.

Blau hatte aber auch was ...

But Blue also had something ...

Das eigentliche Kunstwerk waren die Künstler selbst - nach dem kreativen Erguss.

The actual art work were the artists themselves - after their creative outpouring.

Ein blaues Aug ersteht, wenn man sich ins Aug fahrt. So einfach ist das. Und schön.

Schon ists Abend: Constantin und Thomas zeigen Neil was ein echter österreichischer Marillenschnaps kann (soviel, dass Neil seinen Flug am nächsten Tag in der Früh verpasste).

Heeeello! How's everybody?

I'm very happy and looking forward to my very first birthday. When I'm happy I purse my nose (hope that's the right word - u can see it in the pic: my nose gets all wrinkled, and my eyebrows high. If Mum has seen right on ur family portrait, Granddad does this too, right? That's funnny)

That's my favorite activity at the moment: Stair Climbing. As soon as I could crawl, Mum could'nt hold me back from risking my neck, crawling somewhere high. I don't fear anything.

Yeah! I did it! 20 stairs, wow, long way. Let's take a look back through my legs.

The dogs, hunting dogs, always surround me like a big viennese sausage. :) No, just kidding, they don't wanna eat me, they love me! And I love them too! I can already name them "Wawa". (My only spoken word beside "mama" and "papa")

Hui, I'm tired now. Big effort, the stair climbing. Look at my scar on my chest - it healed wonderfully!

Here are my latest funny photos from eating. On the first picture u can see both of my teeth! They hurt a lot, when they broke out, but they taste funny with my tongue.

Hi there!

I'm 13 months old now, a big girl already! I love to explore my surrounding, and I'm still crawling. No need to walk yet - I'm an expert in crawling, so what for?

Me and Great-Grandma Valerie. She turns 80 next year, can you imagine? That's 80 times older than I am! Wow...

Grandpa Fritz spends a lot time with me. When Mami and I sleep over at their house, he carries me arround in the morning, making coffee with me, feeding me butterbread and making fun with the dogs.

My Grandma's brother is my Greatuncle. Christoph lives in Miami now! His bold head is really funny, to touch.

I love getting the full attention of everyone. That's why I'm sitting on the table in this pictures and playing with the little blanket. This game is called Hide and Seek!

Have a look at Rosalie's very first Birthday Party from August, 15th, the day after her regular Birthday. The weather was just perfect (cloudless, sunny, 28 degrees). Around 40 party guest celebrated with us.

Gut, zugegeben: Die Ponys waren nicht so der Renner. Nils und Susi (die Ponys) haben sich schon aufs Rundenreiten gefreut, im Endeffekt hat sich aber nur Rosalie getraut.

I must admit, that the borrowed ponies didn't have the wow-effect we expected - all babies besides Rosalie were afraid to ride them.

Ein kühler Spass: Tommy und Clara waren soooo klein. Der kleine Leon und Rosalie waren voll dabei (die sind ja schon sooooo klein).

Reisegruppe Chiangmai, fünfter Ausflug

Liebe Freunde der Volksfeste und Wunschballons,

Hui, es gibt viel zu berichten.

Krathong Festival - ein Himmel voller Wünsche
Letze Woche fand wie jedes Jahr das traditionelle "Loy Kratong Festival" statt. Beim ersten Vollmond im November finden sich unzählige Menschen an Chiang Mais Flüssen (der grösste ist Manaem Ping), um das Wasser, die Flüsse zu ehren.

Dabei gibt es mehrere wunderbare Bräuche. Die Thais basteln sich traditionelle Krathongs (kleine Lotusblütenförmige Boote), die sie im Wasser absetzen, und ihnen Glück bringen sollen. Für jede Kerze und jedes Räucherstäbchen, die man in der Mitte des Krathongs anbringt, kann man sich etwas wünschen. Gibt man noch ein paar Baht dazu (thail. Währung), darf man auch eine Geldflut hoffen.

Mein selbstgebasteltes Krathong, ist es nicht wunderschön?

Nam, die freundliche Guest House Besitzerin (sie ist 26, wie ich), hat mich in die kunstvolle Anfertigung eines Papier-Krathongs eingeweiht. Später, in der Sunshine Massage School, dann Bastelstunde für Fortgeschrittene: Hier hab ich eine Lotusblüte aus einem Bananenbaumstamm, Blättern und Lotusblüten gebastelt. Ich war sehr stolz auf das Resultat.

Am Mittwoch haben sich also Angelina, Aleksej (meine Kurskollegen) und ich dann zum Ort des Geschehens, dem River Ping, begeben. Auf dem Weg dorthin, stiessen wir auf eine verrückt gemischte Gruppe von Farangs. Die wurlade Anführerin Anni, eine Thai, und mehrere Blumenkind artige Leute, die in Pai, einer nahe gelegenen Stadt, in einer abgefahrenen Kommune leben, waren allesamt gut drauf.

Am River Ping war die Hölle los. Mit offenem Mund beobachtete ich den Sternenhimmel - doch richtige Sterne waren es nicht: Alle paar Sekunden wurden weisse Ballons, durch Kerzenwerk angetrieben, in die Luft gesandt. Ein Himmel voller Wünsche also. Unbeschreiblich.

Tausende Ballons am Himmel, rote Sterne, die für Wünsche stehen, Wünsche von Menschen aus aller Welt.

Ihr könnt euch nicht vorstellen, was das für ein bewegender Moment war, Anteil zu haben, an einem derart bedeutungsvollen Fest. Feuerwerke, lachende Gesichter, staunende Gesichter, Hoffnung, Glaube.

Das Fest dauert drei Tage an. Am zweiten Tag haben Orfir, Zarinas noch unglücklich verliebter Exfreund, und ich kleine zappelige Schildkröten ins Wasser geworfen und unsere Krathongs ins Wasser gleiten lassen. Dass kleine Thaijungen, unsere Boote in der Hoffnung, darauf ein paar Baht zu finden, ein paar Meter weiter gleich wieder heraus gefischt haben, sollte unserer guten Stimmung keinen Abbruch tun.

Meinereiner in Vorfreude auf ein Wunschkonzert

Mit Freitag ging dann mein erster Kurs zu Ende. In zwei Stunden sollten wir unser neu erworbenes Wissen komprimieren und an einem Kurskollegen zeigen. Wir haben alle graduiert, hurra!

Die Bedeutung von Konfrontation
Gestern habe ich viel über die Bedeutung von Konfrontation gelernt. In Chiang Mai sammeln sich ausserhalb der Touristenhochkonjunkturszeiten massenhaft Farangs (thail.. oft auch verächtlich für Ausländer) aus allen Teilen der Welt an – oft Streuner, die seit Jahren aus dem Koffer leben, mit offenen Rückflugtickets, bemüht, die Rückreise so lange wie möglich hinaus zu zögern.

Doch wird ihnen ihr geografisch vielseitiger Weg helfen, zum inneren Frieden zu finden? Nicht ohne Konfrontationen. Nicht ohne ab und zu stehen zu bleiben, inne zu halten, zu reflektieren.

Sicher, von Land zu Land zu hoppen, wie ein durchgedrehter Grashüpfer macht Grenzen unsichtbar, öffnet einem die Augen, macht weitsichtig. Und das ist unwahrscheinlich wichtig im Leben, sich von Zwängen zu befreien. Nicht von Gewohnheiten, also angenehmen Dingen, die man gerne regelmässig macht. Denn die kleinen Gewohnheiten, die geben Stabilität, Sicherheit und die braucht man zum Innehalten.

Doch Zwänge sind böse, beherrschen den Geist, stehen einem im Weg, wie die verdammte Eingangstür jeden Morgen, die in die falsche Richtung öffnet, einen ins Zimmer zurück drängt.

Doch auch die Welt zu bereisen kann ein Zwang sein, kann zur Flucht werden, ohne dass man es bemerkt, weil man viel zu sehr damit beschäftigt ist, nach vorne zu blicken, weiter zu stolpern, die nächste Blume zu beschnuppern.

Die meisten hier, sind auf der Suche. Und sie sind oft auch auf der Flucht vor ihrer Vergangenheit. Die Probleme schlummern tief in ihnen drinnen und kommen dann zum Vorschein, wenn Menschen zu nahe an sie heran kommen.

Jeder hat sein Los zu tragen,und niemandem steht es zu, dessen Schwere zu beurteilen, Menschen in Kategorien zu unterteilen, zu entscheiden,ob das daraus resultierende Verhalten angemessen sei oder nicht.

Doch die eigenen Grenzen kann und soll man nicht denen von anderen bemessen, die muss man selber setzen lernen.

Das habe ich gestern gelernt. Es wäre jetzt schwierig zu beschreiben, wie das passiert ist, da müsste ich nun weit ausholen, und das will ich euch ersparen. Aber vielleicht versteht ja der eine oder andere, was ich meine.

Werden die eigenen Grenzen überschritten und der Zustand des Unwohlseins ist erreicht, muss man seinem Gegenüber manchmal klar machen, dass er zu weit gegangen ist.

Ich weiss jetzt für mich, dass es nicht immer reicht, den Menschen begreifen zu versuchen und aufgrund seiner Vergangenheit oder Eigenheiten Ausreden für ihn zu suchen, ohne das Problem anzusprechen.

Manchmal muss man seinen Mund aufmachen und sagen: Hey! Bis hierhin und nicht weiter. Keine Spielchen. Behandle mich mit Respekt. Versuche nicht Aufmerksamkeit zu erregen, indem du Opfer oder Diktator spielst, fordere mich nicht heraus. Treat me the right way.

Wie ihr seht, es tickt in mir. Und das ist nicht nur meine biologische Uhr, die ich da höre.

Was als Nächstes passieren wird:
Montag beginne ich den fünftägigen Massagekurs für Fortgeschrittene. Und ich berichte euch von der Inderin, die mich wieder dazu gebracht hat, auf das Essentielle zu achten: dem Grund warum ich hier bin. Und wie ich meine Ziele erreichen werde.

Hello everybody!"

What is that? Never seen things like this before!

Penguins!

That was my first time in the "Schönbrunn" zoo on my mum's shoulders. In former times King Franz Joseph built the zoo for his wife "Sisi".

That's me with my friend Filipa. She's two months older than I am.

Mom and I crawling. I do that all the time, the crawling. It's fun and I'm almost as fast as the others walking.

I luuuuv the water! I can't stop walking in not so deep water, and bathing, and playing with it ... and afterwards I get "toweled".

Playing with Mom's CDs is almost better than swimming.

This is Grandpa and I at a family party. Greatgranddad and - Ma (the parents of Granddad) are always happy to see me.

Mum dressed me up for the party.

Granddad walks around with me a lot. It's not good for his sore back, but he does it for me! :)

Time for swimming again! I'm ready for the sun.

Mum and I reading a book. I turn around the pages all by myself! Dad teached me.

Time by time I tease the dogs. They don't mind most of the time.

Who is there? Oh, it's Uncle Constantin in the pool ... I wish I was big enough to swim by myself ...

Granddad, me and the dogs. Oh yes - happy news in the end: I finally got teeth! Two, to be precisely. It hurt much and Mum and I didnt get much sleep in the night, but that's life I guess :)

Hello again!

Let me introduce you to some "old" friends of mine:

Filipa on the right and newborn Elena in the middle.

And this is Emily. She was born on the same day in the same hospital. Our Mummys got to know each other there.

My dog friends where born two weeks after me. They are almost as cute as I am!

Bailey, their Mum, was very sad when four of them found new homes. But one puppy is still left and always wants to play with me. Mum has to be very careful that it doesnt bite me. (Yesterday it "killed" my little teddy bear...)

In the city...

This is me and Mummy in the city. Vienna is very beautiful - behind us you can see a very famous church. (Wonder why I always scream on the pics with Mummy)

Almost six months...

Dear Family,

Soon, I'll be six months old. I'm a very happy baby, not crying too much (only when I'm hungry or tired), sleeping almost through the night (waking up only 1-2 times).

Three weeks ago, Mummy Cathy and I moved to our very own apartment in the city. We've got two big bedrooms, a nice kitchen and a bathroom - just enough for us. When we have enough from the city, we can always visit my Grandparents in the country side (half an hour away).

I love playing with scarfs, making "tents" over my head. I love playing "Hide and Seek"!

Our flat is very close to the inner city and to the apothecary, my Mum works at. While she is working (twice a week), doing her Thai Massage, Grandma Christiane watches over me (look at our funny video!)

Yesterday my Grandparents gave a party and everybody was surprised how quiet and funny I am - I guess I love being under people.

Hope this time your email is working and I get your mails!

My uncles and me

Mum

Grandma and Mum cooked for hours - first they served seafood terrine on salad, then deer with dumplings, red cabbage and vegetables and finally ice cream with flambeed mango and wipped cream. Hui, Mamas milk tasted better then ever!

While everybody was eating I was speeping. I just woke up early enough to see how Uncle Thomas enlightened the candles on the tree.

The tree was beautiful!

Everybody stared at it for a while until they exchanged presents. That was too exciting to me, so I felt asleep right away. When I woke up again I found myself surrounded by presents.

I think I got the most!

I hope you had a Christmas as nice as ours in New Zealand! Thank you very much for your presents, I can't wait to learn English with them and hug the cute dog!

Hi daddy, grandma and granddad, uncles and aunts and cousins!

I'm four months now and very excited because my very first christmas is coming soon! (Just ignore the German sign on my top - Mummy just found the set so cute, but I'm definetely Austrian!)

Mum and me just went to hospital for a check up - we have to go every two or three months now - and the doctors said I'm doing great. I'm 55 centimeters now and weight almost 6 kilos!

First the nurse does a cardiogram. They always put on a 'baby disco' mobile, which I like a lot.

They stick Thousands of patches on my body but it takes only 5 mins to do the cardio. Then they measure my blood pressure on every arms and leg, thats whyn they are unequal since the operation. I still have to take medicine three times a day - to low the blood pressure and ease the function of my heart.

This is me doing my favorite activity: eating my hands (it comes right after breast feeding) and smiling.

I love my Grandma a lot - she often does Babysitting.

Her brother Christoph lives in New York and visits us over Christmas.

HELLO DADDY! Daddy came all the long way from Thailand to see me. It's been the second time he saw me - last time I was only a little poor worm, struggling for life in the hospital. Now Im a big girl already, and healthy too!

Daddy and I had a lot of fun. On this pictures u can see me being a Strawberry. Daddy was irritated (and Yes! He is wearing a Shirt!).

First I thought Dad had snakes on his head, but then I realized they were ropes to pull! Yehaa!

Hi everybody!

How is life in New Zealand? Here in Austria, Winter has gone. After great Spring days of hardcore tree and flower blooming, we enjoy a great Summer day today - with 26 degrees!

Its two days after Daddy left to work in England. He spent two wonderful weeks with us - but let us go back to were we ended last: I was almost six months old ...

Here is me, while reading. Mum can't read books anymore without me disturbing. I just love the taste of fresh paper! I get all excited when reading, breathing fast and squeaking. And imagine what - Daddy teached me how to turn over pages!

This is my Great-Uncle Christoph. I think I introduced him before - he comes once in a while to Austria, and brings nice presents, like the pretty sweater on the picture! This was taken, when it was still cold outside.

Rosalie is showing her cute bum!

Another great game is to play gee-gees! I love seeing the world upside-down - everything is more interesting and funny. On this pic with Grandma Christiane.

Yeah! Bathtub with Mommy! The washrag tastes nice too - actually everything tastes nice at the moment.

Constantin, one of my Uncles, is great fun too. Hello!
